ANNE GRANT VICKERS,87,of Demopolis,Al, died Tuesday morning,May 1,2012 at her home in Pinhook,Al.Funeral services will be at Graveside at Jefferson Cemetery,Jefferson,Al, on Saturday,May 5th at 10:30 a.m.No visitation with Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel.

She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. John E. Vickers Sr;her parents Charles Brasfield Grant,Sr. and Emma Gholson Grant;her sister Jean Gardner;and her brother Charles B.Grant, Jr.

Mrs.Vickers is survived by her children John E.Vickers,Jr.,Patricia V.Grindle(John),and Grant C.Vickers,Sr.(all of Pinhook,AL):her grandchildren John E."Tripp"Vickers,III(Marla)-Montgomery,Al,Whitney V.Dyer(Jon)-Montgomery,Al,John D.Grindle,JR.(Linsey)-Alexandria,Va,Garrett E.Grindle-Palm Bay,Fl,Ruthanne Charlie Vickers-Linden,Al,and Grant C."Clint"Vickers,Jr-Linden,Al;her great-grandchildren Jon Lawrence Dyer(Whitney&Jon)and Alice Adeline"Addie"Vickers(Tripp&Marla)

She graduated from Auburn University,Auburn,Al and was a member of the Linden and Jefferson United Methodist Churches.She was an active member of the United Methodist Women for over 60 years.
