Elsie Taylor Odom, age 80, of Eutaw, went to be with her Lord Feb. 9, 2013, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11:30 a.m. today at Eutaw Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Mesopotamia Cemetery in Eutaw with Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Richard Odom; her parents, John Earlie and Louvena Runnels Taylor; one sister, Rose Crain; and four brothers, Joe Taylor, John Roland Taylor, James Ward Taylor, and Rupert E. Taylor.

Survivors include her daughter, Theresa Odom of Eutaw; her sons, William R. Odom (Brenda) and Mark A. Odom Jr. (Linda); her sisters, Wilma Roan and Alice Roan of Waynesboro, Miss.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She and her husband owned Odom Farmers and Odom Chevrolet in Eutaw.

Pallbearers will be Mark Odom Jr., John F. Bishop IV, Richard O. Bishop, Justin Ballard, Wesley Ballard, and Rodney Cork.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Eutaw Baptist Church.
