Obituary for Robert L Woods
Robert L. Woods, Sr., 89, of Akron, went to be with his Lord October 7, 2016 at Moundville Health and Rehabilitation.
Robert was born May 2, 1927 in Fayette, Alabama to the late Dewey F. and Mamie Bamberg Woods.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Jewel Meier Woods; brothers Albertus Woods, Lafayette Woods, and Jack Woods; and great granddaughter Elizabeth Woods.
He is survived by his son Robert Woods, Jr.; sister Eunice Woods; brothers Herbet and Gordon Woods; grandchildren Lisa, Stephanie, and James Woods and great granddaughter Vanessa Woods.
Graveside service will be held Monday October 10, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Arthur Thomas will be officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Greensboro Chapel directing.
Honorary pallbearers will be the staffs at Moundville Health and Rehabilitation and the Alabama State Highway Department.
