Eva Louise Lewis, of Gallion, died January 22, 2017 at Woodhaven. She was born March 1, 1931, in Clanton, Alabama, to the late Robert and Ruby Bates Easterling. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph Floyd Lewis, 2 sons Joseph and Freddie Lewis, 2 sisters Bobbie Blalock and Betty Wilkins, and a brother Billy Easterling. She is survived by daughters Linda Phillips ( Larry ) of Gallion and Patricia Hannah ( Terry) of Demopolis, son Durwood Smith ( Virginia) of Gallion, 10 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at 11 am at Fairhaven Baptist Church in Demopolis, Alabama, with the Reverend Scott Stevens and grandson Andy Phillips officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 till 10:50 before the service. Burial will follow the service at Demopolis Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Justin Hannah, Lloyd Hannah, Buster Ward, Jimmy King, Sam Spencer, and Carson Hannah. Honorary pallbearers will be Southern Care Hospice, the staff at Woodhaven Manor Nursing Home, Gwinn Etheredge, and the Fairhaven Ladies 5-6 Sunday School Class.
