Evelyn Langham Chapman 90, of Sawyerville, died February 17, 2017, at Colonial Health and Rehabilitation in Greensboro. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, February 20, 2017 at Kirk Funeral Homes Greensboro Chapel with Rev. Arthur Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Greensboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

She was preceded by her parents James and Mamie Callahan Langham; husband Charles Edward Chapman; brothers, James (Buster) Langham and Charlie Langham; sisters, Betty Stephens, Louise Johnson and Ruth Johnson.

She is survived by her son, Charles Millard Chapman; daughters, Gloria Turner and Linda Plowman; grandchildren, Charles " Chip " Chapman, Holly Johnston, Chad Chapman, Patti Sluder, Heather Caldwell, J.R. Martin, Steven Harper and Logan Harper; great grandchildren, Chloe Tilley, Hunter Bailey, Samantha Epperson, Johnny Chapman, Magan Chapman, Madeline Chapman, Mallory Sluder, Kaitlyn Sluder, Abby Sluder, Macie Sluder, Caleb Caldwell and Carson Harper; brothers, Bob and Billy Langham; she also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Evelyn retired from Greene County Nursing Home. She loved children and cooking for all her family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Chad Chapman, Chip Chapman, Wade Sluder, Kevin Johnston, Jim Langham and Ricky Langham.

Honorary Pallbearers will be employees of Colonial Haven Health and Rehabilitation.
