Henrietta Thomas Hartley 87, of Marion, passed away March 31, at Hale County Hospital. A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday April 2, 2017, at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Marion with Rev. Misty Barrett officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel directing. Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. at Marion United Methodist Church.

Henrietta was born April 23, 1929, in Hale County to Amos Ward and Lida Syring Thomas.

She was preceded by her parents; husband, Burford Hartley; son, James Leland Hartley; brother, Amos Franklin Thomas, Robert Leland Thomas and James Arthur Thomas.

Henrietta is survived by her daughter, Violet Jones ( Tommy) of Marion; brother, William Cecil Thomas (Evelyn) of Greensboro; grandchildren, Jeffrey Alan Jones and Nickolas Thomas Jones; great grandchildren, Cole Allen Jones, Peyton Keel and Tucker Keel.

Pallbearers will be Steve Logan, Kistler Brown, John Anderson, Lennon Thomas, Mike Thomas and Harold Jacobs.

Honorary pallbearers will be The Thad Davis Memorial Sunday School Class and the Elizabeth Stewart Group UMW.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Marion United Methodist Church or a charity of one's choice.
