Florence C. McLendon 95, of Demopolis, passed away April 26, 2017, at home. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday April 27, 2017, from Jefferson Cemetery with Rev. Richard Scott officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing.

Ms. McLendon was born March 28, 1922, in Demopolis, to Robert Simmons and Rebecca Reynolds Compton.

She was preceded by her parents; husband, Oliver E. McClendon; daughter, Roberta "Robbie" Elizabeth Hines; son Harold Douglas Meadows; sister, Reba Adel Mayton.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Florence Meadows; grandchildren, Vicky Meadows, Harold Meadows, Eddie Mac (Niki) Hines and Ashley Hines; 4 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers will be employees of ST Bunn Demopolis plant.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the Jefferson Cemetery Fund C/O George Norris

Immediately following the service there will be a reunion celebration of Ott and Florence McClendon at the Jefferson Community Club.
