Dennis Melvin McGee, 60, of Demopolis, Al, died May 6, 2017 at DCH.

He was born Jan. 31, 1957 in Grove Hill to the late James D. and Manie Tucker McGee. Dennis is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Marsha Pruett McGee; his son Christopher Brooks McGee ( Amy ); and brothers James D. McGee, Jr ( Millie ) and David Neal McGee ( Donna ).

Funeral service will be held Wednesday May 10, 2017 at 11 am at the First Baptist Church in Demopolis. Rev. Thomas Clay will be officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel will be directing. Burial will follow at Demopolis Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday night from 6 till 8 p.m.

Active pallbearers will be Jody Day, Sam Crawford, Tom Jones, Kenneth Phillips, Dennis Spence, Richard Bedsole, Harvey Stinnett, and Jonathan Stinnett. Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Dunnam, Timothy Dunnam, Andy McGee, Parker Pruett, Bud Pruett, Terry Dunnam, Douglas Null, and Keith McKinley.
