Condolence: My deepest sympathy and condolences go to Mr. Arledge's family. He gave me my first job as a young teacher after graduating from Judson College, and mentored me throughout my first four years as a novice educator. I admire him as an excellent principal who never failed to be fair and consistent with us all, his students, faculty and staff, and the school community. Mr. Arledge, who believed that all people should be treated with dignity and that everyone deserved respect and a fair chance in life, was a staunch supporter of public education. After seventeen years away from Linden, I returned to Linden High School to find a teaching position waiting for me and the same enthusiastic, energetic, Mr. Arledge serving a school community who appreciated him as much as I did. Thanks to him and his leadership, I cherish sweet memories of my alma mater and my first training ground as a teacher. We will all miss him, but are deeply grateful that his supportive family shared him with us for so many years.

Condolence: I was so sorry to hear of the family's terrible loss. I would like to express my deepest sympathies. Losing a loved one in death is one of the hardest things anyone can experience, but I hope maybe this Bible text might bring you some comfort during this difficult time. “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” -John 5:28, 29. Condolence: I found out over the weekend that my good friend Charles Arledge passed from this earth!
Charlie was my high school principal, my boss, my fishing buddy, my mentor, my motivator, my inspiration, my drinking buddy, but most of all Charlie was my dear friend. Knowing how Charlie was with us students while we were in school, I bet there are many thousands people that feel the same way about Charlie. Charlie had a gift, that when you were with him, he made you feel like you were the most important person to him right then. When he believed in you, Charlie was with you 100%. He got more out of me than I thought I had, but he knew I had it.
Charlie, you have no more pain now, but we your friends (and there are many) will have the pain of mourning our loss..
To his devoted wife Carole Arledge, daughter Deedra, and son Jason, I am so very sorry for your loss and broken heart. He loved all of you beyond words, and he showed it all the time.
Rest in peace my friend, and I bet you and my dad are already planning some fishing trip some how some way. Love you my friend.
