George Ira Patterson Jr. 65, of Demopolis, passed away August 11, 2017, at Rush Hospital in Meridian, Ms. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday August 13, 2017 from First United Methodist Church in Demopolis with Rev. David Willis officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. Burial will follow in Demopolis Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

George was born June 18, 1952, in Demopolis to the late George Ira and Martha Mackey Patterson Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Doggett Patterson; daughter, Adele Malone (Garry); sisters, Elise Patterson Edwards and Louise Patterson Watt; grandchildren, Trey Malone and Anna Braswell Malone; nephews, Parke Edward (Brenda); niece, Martha Cradic (Zane); great nephews, Brooks Cradic and Brody Cradic: mother of his daughter, Lois Hitt Henderson.

Pallbearers will be Randy Howell, Mark Crocker, Bill Weltin, Parke Edwards, Mike Grayson, Jerry Jackson, Charlie Partridge and Jimbo Ward.

Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Demopolis Lyons Club.
