Larry Lugene Stratton 77, of Gallion, passed away August 15, 2017, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday August 19, 2017, from Rangeline Baptist Church with Rev. Randall Smith officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. Burial will follow in Demopolis Memorial Gardens.Visitation will be held Friday Night from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Larry was born September 30, 1939, in Pontiac, Michigan, to Eugene and Ester Hodges Stratton.

He was preceded by his parents; 1st wife, Marleen C. Stratton.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Hallman Stratton; daughters, Marla Gainey (Tony) and Laura Parmar: sons, Steven Scruggs and Richard Hallman; granddaughter, Lauren Short.

Pallbearers will be Jimbo Glass, Todd Foster, Russ Gaddy, Freddy Rose, Brandon Smith and Cyrus Bigham.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of West Alabama.
