Obituary for Charles Christopher "Chuck' Collums

Charles Christopher " Chuck " Collums, age 52, won his battle and went to be with his Savior, on September 30, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Chuck was born on July 8, 1965, in Tupelo to Charles and Angelyn Collums. He was a lifelong resident of Marion and he lived to provide for his family. Nothing was more important to him than his family. Chuck was a hard working selfless man who would give you the shirt off his back if you were in need. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Carnice & Nona Mae Collums and Arvid & Frances Cox. He is survived by his parents Charles & Angelyn Collums of Marion; devoted wife Sally Washburn Collums; children Christopher Collums, Sarabeth Ann Collums, Hunter Clements and Cory Clements; siblings Randy Collums ( Melinda ) of Centreville and Tammy Hood ( Brian) of Marion; nieces & nephews Kendal, Delaine & Nolan Hood; Jesse & Colby Collums; Summer Curtis Smith and Chasity Curtis; great niece Lynnden Smith and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral service will be Wednesday October 4, 2017, at 2 pm at Siloam Baptist Church in Marion, Alabama. Rev. Nicholson will be officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel will be directing. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior. Burial will follow at Pine Crest Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Christopher Collums, Hunter Clements, Cory Clements, Kendal Hood, Nolan Hood, Jesse Collums, Colby Collums, and Charlie Kirkland. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Hammond, Joel Snodgrass, Reginald Simmons, Matthew Wafford, Joe Pruett, Sam Catlin, Chad Welch, Todd Williams, Chris Paige, Brian Langston, Chris Harper, Greg George, Josh Horton, Eddie Dozier, Will Hairston, Byron Blake, Steve Martin, Trey Washburn, John Lyford, Buck Washburn, Matt Mooney, Cowboy Church of the Prairie's Men Group andJimmy Woods.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask memorials be made in Chuck's memory to Jesus Centered Ministries.
