Thomas Joseph Massey 89, of Marion, passed away October 10, 2017, at his residence. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m Friday October 13, 2017, from Cannan Baptist Church in Bessemer with Rev. Joe Bob Mizell and Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel directing. Visitation will be Thursday night at the Funeral Home from 6 to 7:30.

He was born in Bessemer to Joseph Allen and Flora Gamble Massey.

He was preceded by his parents; sister, Peggie Massey; brother; Clifford Eugene.

Survivors are his wife, Bobbie Jean George Massey; son, Brock Massey; 1 granddaughter; special friend, Charles Collum.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Gamble, Glennis Gamble, Dale Gamble, Buster Gamble, Jim Gamble, Carl Gamble and N.J. Ray.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Cannan Baptist Church Cemetery, 2543 Morgan Road, Bessemer, Alabama, 35022.
