Dovie Elaine Hunter Buford 69, of Gallion, passed away October 19, 2017, at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital. Services will be held 3 p.m. October 22, 2017, at River of Life Church in Demopolis with Rev. Brian Jones and Rev. Eric Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Demopolis Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

She was born October 21, 1947, in Demopolis, to Horace H. Pearlie Lewis Hunter.

Dovie was preceded by her parents; sister, Lillie Humes.

Survivors are her husband, Jessie Alton Buford; daughters, Barbara Buford Watt, Teresa Buford Smith, Jennifer M. Buford and Deborah Etheredge (Timothy); sister, Ruby Coleman and Nora Grable; brother, Fred Hunter; 15 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jason Pearson, Keith Durham, Doug Null, Steven Etheredge, Tyler Etheredge and Christopher Etheredge.

Honorary pallbearers will be Staff of Bryan Whitfield Hospital and Amstar Ambulance Service.
