Wallace Hurt Thomas 75, passed away at his residence on November 26, 2017. Services will be held 2 p.m. December 1, 2017, from Hopewell Baptist Church with Rev. Freddie Massey officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Marion chapel directing. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

He was born August 25, 1942, in Marion, to Henry Perry and Wilba Smith Perry Thomas.

Wallace is survived by his wife, Ethel Massey Thomas; sons, Kevin Thomas (Marlene) and Kelly Thomas; sister, Sara L. Cochran; brothers, Cecil P. Thomas (Jo Ann) and William F. Thomas (Sandra); grandchildren, Ashley Thomas and Marshall Thomas.

Pallbearers will be Brian Thomas, Allen Tubbs, Terry Cochran, Matthew Thomas, Scott Swindal and Johnny Swindal.

Honorary pallbearers Mitchell Crocker, Joseph Thomas, Teresa Davis, Colleen Tucker.
