Obituary for Thomas L "Tom" Wright

Tom was born on December 8, 1945, to Austin and Wilma Wright in Demopolis, Al. He was raised in Demopolis until he joined the Air Force at the age of 17. He was stationed in Colorado Springs, Colorado for 4 years and that is where he met his wife Lois.They were happily Married for over 52 years. They had 3 children Tommy, Rachael, Tim and added two more by marriage Todd and Laura. He had two grandchildren Chandler and Weston. He was so proud of their many accomplishments and the experiences they gave him.

He enjoyed fishing, coaching 13 to 15 old baseball and was a big fan of the University of Alabama.

He worked at Gulf States Paper Mill and retired after 43 years.

He was a very special man to his family who he loved so very much and the simple pleasure of life.

God rest his soul for all eternity.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday January 27 from Fairhaven Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Stevens officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Fairhaven Baptist Church or a charity of one's choice.
