Joanne S. Henderson 83, of Demopolis, passed away February 20, 2018, at Sonrise Assisted Living. Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday February 23, 2018, from Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel with Rev. Carl Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Demopolis Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

She was born August 5, 1934, in Tuskegee, to John Nicholas and Minnie Lou Stringer Sullivan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Henderson; sister, Juanita Daniel.

Joanne is survived by her sons, John Wesley Henderson (Janet) and Tim Henderson; grandchildren, John Wesley Henderson Jr., Rebecca H. Paulk, Taylor Brooke Henderson and Timothy Grant Henderson.

Pallbearers will be Randy Morgan, Tim Brister, Paul "Sonny" James III, Raymond Low, Rodney Allen, Kelley Etheridge.

Honorary pallbearers will be Sonrise Assisted Living, Dr. Ketcham and Dismukes staff, Hugh Lloyd Sunday School Class, her lunch bunch and her lifetime friend Betty Low.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be to Compassionate Care at First Baptist Church of Demopolis.
