Obituary for Lloyd Edward "Ed" Williams Jr.

L. Edward Williams, Jr (Ed) of Demopolis, Al, passed away December 6, 2018 following an extended illness.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 10, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Riverside Cemetery. There is NO Visitation planned. Reverend George McKee of Faunsdale Presbyterian Church and Elder Tom Boggs also of Faunsdale Presbyterian Church will officiate. Ed was born in Uniontown, Al on 12/19/38 and had been looking forward to his 80th birthday this month. His family moved to Demopolis when he was in Elementary school and he has lived most of his life here graduating from Demopolis High School and attended Auburn University He
was a member of the Demopolis First Presbyterian Church where he served as Deacon and Elder.
Ed worked for GULF STATES PAPER COR in MARKETING for almost 40 years with his last position
being EXPORT SALES MANAGER PULP AND PAPER. When he was younger he especially enjoyed playing golf. He was an avid Auburn Fan and enjoyed attended football games with his wife for over 30 years.

Ed was predeceased by his parents Lloyd E Williams and Margaret Anderson Williams and his brother Ronnie Williams.

He leaves to cherish his special memory his wife Dorothy Greene Williams who had been his High School and College Sweetheart and married 55 years. Also his son Ronald Alan Williams (Ron) with whom he had a close special relationship with and enjoyed many days hunting at SPIDLE LAKE HUNTING CLUB. They also enjoyed
fishing together

He is survived by two brothers C O Williams (Marie) of Newburn, Al and Alvin Williams (Virginia) of Foley, Al His Grandchildren Abby, Ava and Rhett Williams and his nieces and nephew PaigeW Lake (Greg), Kelley W Tarpley (Donn), Allison Williams and Doug Williams Donations to your favorite charity or flowers would be appreciated.
