Pat Barton, 83 of Marion, AL went to his eternal home on January 12, 2022. He was born on March 27, 1938 in Sprott, AL to Greely J. Barton and Annie Rinehart Barton. He was a veteran in the Alabama National Guard and worked for Alabama Gas Corporation.

He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Betsy Smith Barton and his daughter, Lesia Barton Hightower (Paul). He is also survived by two grandchildren: James Houston Hightower, and Justin Barton Hightower (Lacey); and four great-grandchildren: Kelsey Hightower, Harper Hightower, Hailynn Hightower, and Hayes Hightower.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 am on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Heiberger United Methodist Church. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am, also at Heiberger United Methodist Church. Graveside service will follow at Heiberger United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Steven Cannon officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes, Marion Chapel directing.

Pallbearers will be: Houston Hightower, Bart Hightower, Mike Hightower, Phillip Hightower, Scott Bamberg, Mike Fike, Jarrod Edwards, and Dennis Nichols.
