Gloria J. Copeland Nettles, 70, of Demopolis, passed away September 19, 2016. Mrs. Nettles was born June 7, 1946 in Demopolis to the late Royals and Leona Copeland. She is preceded by her parents, her husband Benji Nettles, and a sister Carol Squires. She is survived by her two sons B.E. Nettles, jr. ( Heidi ) and Samuel Thomas Nettles both of Demopolis; sister Beth Baker ( Bill ) of Demopolis; Nieces Lynn Squires and Diane Perrigan; nephew Wayne Baker and grandchildren Buckley Nettles, Mae Harmon Nettles, and Sally Nettles. Service will be held September 22, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 till 10:50 with the funeral service beginning at 11. Bro. Ed Pickel will be officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be DCH Cancer Center, Dr. Anne Scott, Amedisys, and Southern Care.
