Bassie Hester Rogers Nichols,98,lifelong resident of Greene County passed away at the Greene County Hospitial.She was preceded in death by her parents William James Hester & Bassie Dunlap Hester,husbands Breckenridge B.A. Rogers and William W.Nicholls,sons Brenckenridge B.A. Rogers Jr.,and sisters Saidee Hester Palmer and Elizabeth Hester Taylor.

Survivors include her grandchildren Breckenridge B.A. Rogers III,Goodrich A.Rogers,Cynthia Rogers Geurts,great grandchildren Brenckenridge Rogers,Annah Rogers,Morgan Rogers,Lilly Rogers,Phobe Geurts and Saidee Guerts.

Her nieces and nephews are Barbara Ann Jester,Nancy E. Taylor,Beckham D. Palmer Jr.,CMA Rogers III,Ellen D.Rogers,Ruth R. Flack,Elizabeth R. Hoffman,Alice R. St. John,and Stephen A. Rogers.

Bassie was a faithful member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Eutaw, Al.Graveside services will be handled by Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel with the Rev. Josiah Renger officiating.Graveside services will be held Monday May 21,2012.The family will recieve friends at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church following the service.
