Obituary for Dorothy Faye Evans (Price)

Dorothy Faye Price Evans, “Dot,” age 72, of Demopolis, was called home Sept. 5, 2015, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday September 8, 2015, at Fairhaven Baptist Church in Demopolis. Burial will follow in Demopolis Memorial Gardens with Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. Visitation is one hour prior to services at the church.

Dot was preceded in death by her parents, James and Elizabeth Price, and sister, Nellie Jo Price Cole.

Survivors include her husband, Keith; daughters, Kelli Marlow (Rhett) and Kristi Holman (Skibo); grandchildren, Parker and Payton Marlow and Josie and Ellie Holman; and many other cherished extended family members.

She was born September 3, 1943, in Mobile, Alabama, and lived in Tuscaloosa most of her childhood. Dot and Keith were married October 22, 1967, and moved to Demopolis.

She was a kindergarten teacher for 21 years, and a Sunday school teacher for 30 years.

Dot, affectionately called “Honey” by her grandchildren, loved Keith from the first time she saw him. Kelli and Kristi were her joy, and her grandchildren were her heart. We praise God for her beautiful life and it was our privilege to have shared it with her.

Pallbearers will be Skibo Holman, Rhett Marlow, Parker Marlow, Payton Marlow, Randy Cole, Ronnie Cole, Freddy Thomas, and Shawn Hall.

Honorary pallbearers are Deacons and Ladies 4 Bible Study Class of Fairhaven Baptist Church, Dr. Tai and his staff at Demopolis Oncology, and the 4th Floor CSICU nurses at DCH.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to West Alabama Christian School, AMEN Ministries, or Eric and Amanda Sanford through Fairhaven Baptist Church.
