I am so touched and sad to hear of the passing of precious, dear Mrs. West. She has inspired me to be a more selfless person since I met her about three years ago. She was gentle, kind, forgiving and had a sense of humor that would allow her to get along with anyone. She transcended racial, economic, and social barriers to love everyone she met. Her presence in the room at Woodhaven has kept Emmie Mays going when she otherwise would have felt not needed. May God embrace you in his loving arms and may He bring you peace in time. 57
