Condolences

Condolence From: Sue Calloway
Condolence: I am so touched and sad to hear of the passing of precious, dear Mrs. West. She has inspired me to be a more selfless person since I met her about three years ago. She was gentle, kind, forgiving and had a sense of humor that would allow her to get along with anyone. She transcended racial, economic, and social barriers to love everyone she met. Her presence in the room at Woodhaven has kept Emmie Mays going when she otherwise would have felt not needed. May God embrace you in his loving arms and may He bring you peace in time.

Condolence: Dear Theresa and family,
David and I are saddened by the news of your mother’s passing. We have been Granny West fans for decades. Every time we come to town we always went over to visit with her. We were always treated with a smile and a good story or two. Her home was always open and it was warm and inviting. As the years moved on and she had more challenges getting around, she would still be productive by knitting and reading. The snowflakes she crocheted are always the first thing I put on my Christmas tree. I have had them for 20+ years. My kids have never had a Christmas tree without them. They know who made them and we share a little part of Christmas with your Mom in our home every year.

We were so happy to see her the last time we were in town. Even in the nursing home she kept her cheerful attitude and she was dressed up so pretty. Still appreciating every day.

Our condolences to you and your family. You will be in our thoughts and prayers tomorrow and over the coming weeks and months.
