Clarence Reid Lawson Jr. 74, of Greensboro, passed away March 3, 2018, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be held March 5, 2018, at 2 p.m at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with The Rev. Hoyt Winslett and The Rev. John Kennedy III officiating. Burial will follow in Greensboro Cemetery with Kirk Funeral Homes Greensboro Chapel directing.

He was born July 21, 1943, in Greensboro, to Clarence Reid and Frances Morissette Lawson.

Reid was preceded in death by his parents; son, Lewis Joshua Lawson IV; sister, Amy Seay Lawson.

Survivors are his wife, Mary Quitman Coleman Lawson; Mary Quitman Lawson Holmes ( William) and Amy Seay Lawson Cooper ( Rhett); grandchildren, Mary Coleman Chandler, Elizabeth Moore Holmes, Lewis Lawson Holmes, Caroline Reid Cooper, Margaret Lewis Cooper, and Lewis Coleman Cooper.

Pallbearers will be Thad Moore, Al Cherry, Frank Bruce, George Smelley, B.W. Coleman III, Harris Coleman, N. H. Cobbs Jr., Bill DeWitt and James Stewart.

Honorary pallbearers will be Board of Directors at Peoples Bank of Greensboro and Greensboro High School Class of 1961.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Hospice of West Alabama, Greensboro Opera House, or Lewis J. Lawson Scholarship Fund.
