Ethel Massey Thomas 73, of Marion, passed away April 2, 2018, at her residence. Services will be held Friday April 6, 2018, at 11 a.m. from Hopewell Baptist Church with George Washburn officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel directing. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

She was born December 6, 1944, in Perry County, to Luther and Martha Couch Massey Sr.

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wallace H. Thomas; sister, Dorthy M. Smith.

Survivors are her sons, Kevin Thomas (Marlene) and Kelly Thomas; sister, Bernice M. Johnson (James); brothers, Luther A. Massey Jr. (Linda) and Freddie Lee Massey (Wanda); grandchildren, Ashley and Marshall.

Pallbearers will be Luke Massey, Jesse Johnson, Jeff Emery, Kevin Hogancamp, Cliff Alger, Rick Dunn, Rob Dunn, and James Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jamee Johnson, John Allen Boozer, Comfort Care Hospice, Hopewell Baptist Church, North Perry Vol. Fire Dept, and Phillip Mathews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital or Hopewell Baptist Church.
