John William Harris, 95, of Demopolis, Alabama died May 15, 2018.

He was born on February 3, 1923, in Laneville, AL to the late Richard Norfleet and Sallie Battle Harris, III.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his son Richard Harris, IV; sisters Mary Elizabeth Clem and Margaret Osmer; and brothers David and Dick Harris.

John William leaves behind his wife Barbara Gilley Harris; daughter Patricia Quinney; and grandchildren Rich Quinney ( Ashley), Riley Quinney, and Anne Sutton Quinney.

A graveside service will be held May 18, 2018 at 10 am at Demopolis Memorial Gardens. Rev. David Willis will officiate and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel will be directing. Visitation will be held at the cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church of Demopolis elevator fund.
