James Layton "Jim" Waters Jr. 83, of Marion, passed away June 10, 2018, at Southland Nursing Home in Marion. A memorial service will be held Tuesday June 12, 2018, at 11 a.m. from Marion United Methodist Church with Rev. Len Hurston and Rev. Misty Barrett. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel directing.

He was born November 30, 1934, in Gadsden, Al., to James Layton and Annie Mae Limbaugh Waters Sr.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Waters McDaniel; brother, Billy Ray Waters.

Surviving jim is his wife, Earnestine Edmunds "Tina Waters; sons, Anthony Scott Waters "Scotty", John Edmunds Waters "Trey" and Meade Castleton Waters; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
