Brenda Stewart Sealy
July 16, 1950-November 17, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of Brenda Gail Stewart Sealy of Uniontown announces her passing on November 17, 2018 at the age of sixty-eight.
A native of Greensboro, Brenda was a graduate of Greensboro High School. As a mother of four, she completed her bachelor’s degree at Judson College where she earned a double major in Business and English with a minor in Psychology. Brenda worked as the Office Manager of Alabama Livestock Auction which she owned with her husband, Jimmy for twenty years. In addition to that, she opened Three Sisters Café at the Stockyard where she enjoyed sharing her love of cooking. She served as a member of Perry County Historical Society and was a founding member of the Concerned Citizens of Perry County. She enjoyed working with the Marion Chapter of the Judson College Alumnae Association.
While she demonstrated a servant’s heart in many areas of her life, her greatest passion was her church, Uniontown Baptist. She held various leadership positions within her church. She was a Sunday School Teacher, and she held weekly Bible Study Groups in her home where her church family gathered for lunch and Bible Study. Her love of family was beyond reproach. The strength, determination, and dedication that she modeled will remain with all who knew her.
Brenda will be lovingly remembered by her husband of forty-nine years, Jimmy, and her children, Stephanie Sealy, Emma Stacy Cosby(Brent), Jessica Sealy, and Jim Sealy(Tanya). She will also be treasured by her grandchildren, Cadyn Cosby (Kaitlyn), Garrett Herring, Hank Peeples, Caylor Cosby, Justin Peeples, Stewart Hargroder, Anna Curtis Sealy, Gabe Herring, Grant Hargroder, Madeline Sealy, James Sealy, Jamey Gray Hargroder, Sealy Ann Hargroder, and Margaret Sealy. She will also be deeply missed by her brother, Tommy Stewart (Sharon) and her nephew, Zeb Stewart (Jessica). She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Emma Stewart.
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”
Hebrews 12:1-3

Pallbearers will Pall Bearers, Phil Robison, Nate Morgan, Zeb Stewart, Aaron Rinehart, Tom Vann, George “Mac” Lipscomb, Wade Hall, and Wayne Pope

A Graveside Service in her memory will be held at Rosemont Cemetery on Highway 61 in Uniontown on Tuesday, November 20th at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Uniontown Baptist Church.
