Michael Allen Carter 50, of Marion, passed away January 9, 2019, at Home. Services will be held Monday January 14, 2019, at 2 p.m. from Sardis Church with Rev. Kasey Craber officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel directing. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Mike was born November 23, 1968, in Selma, Al., to Callie Carter Jr. and Carolyn Dunkin Sexton.

Mike was preceded in death by his father.

Surviving Mike is his daughters, April Carter (Jason Melton), Tiffany Carter Willamson (Charles), and Taylor Carter (Steven Goodman); mother, Carolyn Dunkin Sexton; brother, Lonnie Sexton; 5 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jason Melton, Steven Goodman, Charles Williamson, Frank George, Dwight Mitchell, and Corey Hudson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Hanna Truck Line, Dr. Shane Lee and Staff of Marion Clinic, and College City Drugs.
