Wallace Duskin Hogue III 92, of Newbern, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 12, 2019, at Park Manor Nursing Home. A graveside service will be held Monday January 14, 2019, at 11 a.m. from Newbern Cemetery with Dr. Paul Reitzer officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Greensboro Chapel directing.

Wallace was born July 15, 1926, in Newbern, to the Wallace Hogue Jr. and Rebecca Jack Hogue Harrell.

Wallace was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Louise Hogue Washburn; grandson, Robert Keith Washburn.

Surviving Wallace is his wife, Grace McMillan Hogue; daughter, Betty Hogue Smith; son, Wallace Duskin Hogue IV; grandsons, Julian Dewitt Washburn IV and Wallace Duskin Hogue V; granddaughters, Amy Smith (Larry), Audra Smith McKinney (Mac), Amanda Smith Kaylar (Lance), Ashton Smith, and Kayleigh Hogue Scott (Corey0; great grandchildren, Tanner Rose, Landon Rose, Abigail McKinney, Liliana McKinney, Huckabee McKinney, and Sela McKinney.

Pallbearers will be Tanner Rose, Landon Rose, Larry Hart, Mac McKinney, Lance Kaylor, Duskin Hogue, G B Woods, and Dossey Quarles.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Newbern Cemetery fund or a Charity of ones choice.
