Obituary for Dixie Murray Mayton
Dixie Murray Mayton 86, of Demopolis, passed away at home on Monday May 20, 2019. Services will be held Friday May 24, 2019, at 2 p.m. from First Baptist Church of Demopolis with Rev. Carl Williams officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. Burial will follow in Aimwell Baptist Church Cemetery in Aimwell.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
He was born May 3, 1933, in Selma, to Dixie and Hettie Blakeney Mayton.
Surviving Dixie is his wife, Carolyn Sorrells Mayton; daughters, Amy Rhodes (David) and Kim Rose (Richard); grandchildren, Austin Brooks, Ashley Brooks, Rialey Brooks, Cole Mayton, and Logan Mayton.
Pallbearers will be Austin Brooks, Tommy Blakeney, Greg Blakeney, Roger Blakeney, Craig Bailey, Blakeney Rogers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Earl Sorrells, Catherine Hall, Grady Hall, Chris Blakeney, and Andrew Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church.
