Dennis Wayne Harper 63, of Akron, passed away Friday May 31, 2019, at Princeton Hospital in Birmingham Services will be held Wednesday June 5, 2019, from Rhodes Chapel with Rev. Charles Spence officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Greensboro Chapel directing. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

He was born March 20, 1956, in Tuscaloosa, to Darrell Edgar and Ruby Louise Whaley Harper .

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Darrell Edgar Harper.

Surviving Dennis is his mother, Ruby Louise Wheat; loving companion of 20 years, Connie Lamb; daughter Logan Sutton (Ronald) of Aliceville; sons, Steven Harper (Katelynn) of Northport, Brad Harper(Nancy) of Tuscaloosa and Darrell Harris (Ashley) of Fosters; sisters, Kay Fransioli (Charles) of and Joy Nickoles( Ricky) both of Northport; brothers, Darell Edgar "Eddie" Harper Jr. of Akron and Michael Harper of Northport; 10 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ray Hammner, Chad Chapman, Ronald Sutton, John Wallace, Mikey Harper, and Alan Hoggle.

Honorary pallbearers will be Unimin Sand and Gravel of Taylorville, Nurses and Doctors at Princeton Medical Center, Southern Care Hospice, Daniel Hammner and Caylan Hammner.
