Obituary for Maurine Dollar Durkin
Maurine Dollar Durkin 83, of Demopolis, passed away Wednesday August 7, 2019, at Marengo Nursing Home. Services will be held 11 a,m. Saturday August 10, 2019, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Williams officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. Burial will follow in Demopolis Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
She was born July 10, 1936, in Nashville, Tn., to Wayne and Christina Danley Duncan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Jimmy Dollar; second husband, Michael Durkin; son, Tommy Dollar; brother, Gary Duncan; grandson, Jay Dollar.
Surviving Maurine is her son, Mark Dollar (Nan) of Demopolis; sisters, Billie Jean Morrow of Nashville and LaVonia Henning of California; brother, Hubert Duncan of Nashville; grandchildren, Matthew Dollar and Hilary Wallace (Ben).
Pallbearers will be David Connell, Rick Dunn, Matt Dollar, Don Tarpley, Ben Wallace, and Clay Cain.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Staff of the Marengo Nursing Home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Demopolis.
