Obituary for Don Leroy Bouler
Don Leroy Bouler, age 76, died August 19, 2019, at Whitfield Regional Hospital in Demopolis, Alabama. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday September 9, 2019 at First Baptist Church, Leland, Mississippi.
Born in Leland Mississippi on November 17, 1942, to Willodean and Leroy Roy Bouler. Don graduated from Leland High School. He continued his education at Mississippi Delta Junior College as a member of the baseball team. He also attended Mississippi State University and received his BS in Education from Delta State University.
Don was deeply devoted to his family and friends and to the many young men and women he employed and mentored at the Cleveland Country Club. For his efforts supporting Delta State University and its athletic programs, Don was awarded the Lawrence L. Stewart service award in 2003 and was inducted in the Sam T. Dunning Golf Hall of fame in 2010. The Bouler Cup golf tournament was established in his name to benefit the Delta State University Golf Team.
Don is survived by his wife of 45 years, Tillie Taylor Bouler, his daughter, Dana Eddins (Andy) of Demopolis, Alabama; grandchildren, Anderson Eddins and Dock Eddins of Demopolis; his sister, Roanne Davenport of Leland, Mississippi.
