Marjorie Hughey Marcus 91, of Marion, passed away September 10, 2019, at Southland Nursing Home in Marion. Services will be held Friday September13, 2019, at 11 a.m. from Siloam Baptist Church in Marion with Rev. John Nicholson officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel. Burial will follow in Heiberger United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

She was born February 19, 1928, in Sprott, Alabama, to Edward Bryan and Fannie Bett Rogers Hughey.

She was preceded by her parents.

Surviving Marjorie is her son, Robert Earl Marcus (Susan Kay Anderson) of Marion; sister, Betty Wayne Smith Martin of Selma; grandchildren, Susan Marcus Talton (Gregg), Sara Ruth Berry (Mark), and Robert Bryan Marcus (Richard); great grandchildren, John Edward "Jack" Talton and Charles Hunter Berry.

Pallbearers will be Jack Talton, Hunter Berry, Mark Berry, Gregg Talton, Richard Morrison, and Doug Holbrook.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Harbinson and Phillip Marcus.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Siloam Baptist Church.
