John Fredrick Rutledge 96, of Demopolis, passed away Sunday October 6, 2019, at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital. A graveside service will be held Tuesday October 8, 2019, at 2:30 p.m. from St. Andrews Episcopal Church Cemetery.
He was born March 8, 1923, in Demopolis, to Frank Bellamy and Daisy Kern Rutledge.
Freddie was preceded in death by his parents;son, John Fredrick Rutledge Jr.
Surviving Freddie is his wife, Mary Sparrow Rutledge; daughters, Caroline Teel (Ricki), Dori Rutledge Cargile (Danny Reed), and Cherrie Roberts (Cliff); sister, Easter Rutledge Propst; brother, Frank Bellamy Rutledge Jr.; 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Frank Rutledge III, Pearson Matthews, Chip Matthews, John Northcut, Susan Speed, Melisa Fluker, and Buddy Griffith.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road Suite 300, Jacksonville, Florida, 32256.
