Fayomia Barnette Cook entered into eternal rest on November 24, 2019. She passed away at the Forest Manor Nursing Home in Northport, AL, surrounded by family. Services will be held November 27, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Siloam Baptist Church with Rev. John Nicholson officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel directing. Burial will follow at Pine Crest Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin one hour before the service.
Fayomia was born April 14, 1930 to Early Vester and Velma Hoggle Barnette.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Floyd Rayford Cook.
She is survived by her daughter Vickie C. Walker; son, Donald R. Cook; grandchildren, Rayford Cook, Chad Cook, and Jenay Young; great grandchildren Jason Collin Young, Wesley Cook, Ava Cook and Cayden Cook.
Pallbearers will be Rayford Cook, Chad Cook, Jason Carl Young, Jason Collin Young, Greg Cochran, and Jerry Humphries.
Honorary Pallbearers are the Joy Sunday School Class at Siloam Baptist Church, Dr, Scott Fulgham, Dr. Shane Lee, employees of Regency Retirement Village and Forest Manor Rehab and Nursing Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Siloam Baptist Church, 505 Washington Street, Marion, AL 36756 or to a charity of your choice.
