Obituary for Linda Hamm Taylor
On the morning of November 28, 2019, Linda Hamm Taylor of Marion went to her eternal home at the age of 71.
Linda was born to Curtis and Mildred Hamm on October 6, 1948, at Lloyd Noland Hospital in Fairfield. She graduated from Francis Marion High School in 1967 and later attended business college in Birmingham before working at Marion Bank and Trust Company for 52 years. On December 28, 1974, she married Conrad Taylor and together they reared three children: Tracie, Wade and Brandon.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Mildred Ballard Hamm and stepmother, Frances “Lady” Hamm. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, F. Conrad Taylor of Marion; children, Tracie Lynn Harrison (Nick) of Millbrook, Conrad Wade Taylor (Allison) of Marion, and Brandon Swann Taylor (Jamie) of Greensboro; grandchildren, Hayden Harrison, Abbigayle Taylor, Coley Taylor, Whitfield Taylor, Zane Taylor, Leo Taylor, and Elouise Taylor; sister, Joy Hamm Jones (John) of Alabaster and stepsisters, Donna Mitchell Huey of Sprott and Brenda Mitchell Edwards (Walter) of Selma.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 30, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at the Marion Presbyterian Church with burial to follow at Marion Cemetery with John Nicholson officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes directing.
Pallbearers will be Hayden Harrison, Coley Taylor, Whitfield Taylor, Preston Nichols, Clint Sumlin, Aaron Jones, Paul Taylor and Billy Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Zane Taylor, Leo Taylor, Abbigayle Taylor and Eloiuse Taylor.
