On December 9, 2019, John David King of Gallion went to his eternal home at the age of 79.

John was born in Ponca City, OK to John and Jeanette Martin King on December 5, 1940.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Dorothy, Bessie Mae, Carolyn, Alice, and brothers Jack, Robert, and Tuffy. He is survived by his wife, Helen McNabb, sons John M. King (Lisa), James David King (Karen), Steven P. King (Rachel), his brothers Mervel King, Ronald King, Richard King, and his sister, Candy. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Justin, Jacob, Angela, Riley, Chandler, Brian (Christina), John David, and Samantha as well as great grandchildren Kyla and Jase.

Visitation will be held will be on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the Kirk Funeral Homes Chapel in Demopolis from 12:00 to 2:00 pm followed by funeral services at 2:00 p.m. at the Demopolis Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Fred Wyley officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes directing.

Pallbearers will be the Demopolis Lodge 49.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Parkinson's foundation.
