Obituary for Jeff Lullum Battle
On December 9, 2019, Jeff William Battle went to his eternal home at the age of 86.
Jeff was born in Hale County on February 25, 1933 to Jefferson Davis and Emma Poole Woodson Battle.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Mary Ella Etheridge and Emma Battle Moore and his brothers Crawford Battle and Earl Battle.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Moody Battle, daughters Jennifer Battle Bedwell (Mark), Caron Battle and Carol Beth Burge(Jeremy). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Emma Bedwell, Haleigh Bedwell, John Bedwell, Autum Burge, Eli Burge, Battle Burge, and Lucas Burge.
Visitation will be held will be on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Uniontown Baptist Church from 10:00 to 11:00 followed by the funeral service starting at 11:00. Interment will follow at Rosemont Cementery. Rev. Dee McGuire and Rev. Steve Vernon will officiate with Kirk Funeral Homes directing.
Pallbearers will be Mark Bedwell, Jeremy Burge, Ray Duncan, Finley James, Tom Vann, and Bryan Stevenson.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Uniontown Baptist Church..
