Obituary for Luther Sprott Woodfin
Luther Sprott Woodfin, 75, died Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at his home in Sprott surrounded by his family. Luther was born in Selma, AL on August 20, 1944 to the late Marion Moore Woodfin and Mittie Elizabeth Sprott Woodfin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Martha Woodfin Nevin.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Hobson Woodfin, sons Marion L. Woodfin (Tracy), and Michael J. Woodfin (Vanessa).
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Carley, Casey, and Corie Woodfin as well as a great grandchild, Jayce Woodfin.
Visitation will be held will be on Monday, December 23, 2019 at the Kirk Funeral Homes Chapel in Marion from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 pm at the Marion Cemetery with Rev. Gary Lawrence officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes directing.
