Obituary for John Thomas Nichols

John Thomas Nichols, 85, passed away at Westminster Village in Spanish Fort, AL on Saturday, January 11, 2020. He was born in Sprott, AL on September 14, 1934, to Jeremiah Van Nichols and Gillie Nichols. He was a member of the US Air Force, Civil Service.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Max Nichols, Lloyd Nichols, Leslie Nichols, and Charles Nichols; and his sister Gladys Mosley.

He is survived by his wife Helen Gail Oreher Nichols; daughters Cheryl Faye Nichols McLaurin and Laurin Rae Nichols Friday; and his sisters Billie Taylor and Joanne White.

He is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Amanda Hackler and Kyle McLaurin and 3 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at the Kirk Funeral Home Chapel in Marion on Wednewday, January 15, 2020. Funeral service will be at 2:00 in the chapel, followed by graveside services at the Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Shane Friday, Kevin McLaurin, Glen Jones, and Ryder Mott.
