Obituary for William Johnny Ferri
William Johnny Ferri, 88, passed away at home in Marion, AL on Friday, January 24, 2020. He was born in Bolivar County, MS on September 25, 1931, to Benjamin Ferri and Frances Favi Ferri. He was a self employed farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Mary Helen Enriquez; his son William Johnny Ferri, Jr.; his daughter Eva Ferri Stokes; brother Robert Ferri and sisters Sarah Fonville, and Pauline Allen.
He is survived by his daughters JoAnne Ferri Crenshaw (Danny) of Gardendale, AL and Sandra Ferri Phillips of Marion; sisters Christine Malatesta, Lucy Moore, Rosa Lee King, Mary Boggs and Linda Godbold; and his brother Benjamin Ferri.
He is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Blake Crenshaw, Ryan Crenshaw, Presley Rouse, Wilson Phillips, Ashley Phillips, Seth Ferri, Lauren Taylor, and Lana McDonald; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at the Kirk Funeral Home Chapel in Marion on Monday, January 27, 2020. Funeral service will be at 2:00 in the chapel, followed by graveside services at Pine Crest Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Rick Williams officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes directing.
Pallbearers will be: Blake Crenshaw, Ryan Crenshaw, Wilson Phillips, Seth Ferri, Steve Ferri, and Pete Enriquez, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers are Alex Ferri and Darryl Lara.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Hospital (www.stjude.org) or the Wounded Warriors Project (www.support.woundedwarriorproject.org).
