James Luther Elliott, 77 went to his eternal home on March 29, 2020. He was born on May 1, 1942 in Demopolis, AL to Clyde N. Elliott, Sr. and Andrews Jackson "Jackie" Reynolds Elliott. He was employed by the Alabama Department of Transportation as a foreman.
He was predeceased in death by his parents, his sister Georgia Compton, and his brother Carl Elliott. He is survived by his daughter, Heidi Piedra (Jorge); his son, Joseph L. Elliott; his sisters Florence Spidle, Julia Knox, and Anita Couch; and his brothers Clyde N. Elliott, Jr., and John Henry Elliott. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren: Jorge L. Piedra, Alexis D. Piedra, Marlinda R. Piedra and James Noel Piedra.
Graveside funeral service was held at the Jefferson Cemetery on April 1, 2020 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Scott Stevens officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes, Demopolis Chapel directing.
Honorary Pallbearers were Jorge Piedra Valdez, Jorge Luis Piedra , John Milam, Erwin Etheridge and all of his family and friends.
