John Clarke Wilburn , 94, of Demopolis, AL went to his eternal home on May 2, 2020. He was born on March 3, 1926 to Hugh Harrell Wilburn and Bessie Patterson Wilburn. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Mary E. Steffens, and Lucretia Norris.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Compton Wilburn of Demopolis; his son, John Clarke Wilburn, Jr. (Barbara) of Demopolis and Robertsdale, AL; his daughters Dorothy Kathryne Self (Billy) of Demopolis and Cynthia Ann Williams (Ken) of Mobile and his sister, Daisy Little. He is also survived by 4 Grandchildren: John Clarke Wilburn III (Catalina) of Americus, GA, Cynthia Elizabeth Terry (Mike) of Dallas, GA, Jay Decker of Peachtree, GA, and Kenneth Lee Williams (Shelby) of Mobile, AL; and 3 Great-grandchildren; Addison Kathryne Terry of Dallas, GA, Mason Terry of Dallas, GA, and Lee Western Williams of Mobile, AL.
A private family graveside funeral service will be held on May 6, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Jefferson Cemetery in Jefferson, AL with Rev. Kevin Kish officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes, Demopolis Chapel directing.
