Obituary for Wava Durham (Burgess)
Wava Burgess Durham, 83, of Gallion, AL went to her eternal home on July 13, 2020. She was born on October 25, 1936 in Cardwell, MO to Arlie Burgess, Sr. and Opal Williams Burgess.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jim Durham, and her brother, Arlie Burgess, Jr.
She is survived by her sons, Keith Durham (Pam) of Gallion, AL and Scott Durham (Michelle) of Jones, AL. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Natalie Bailey (Jeb), Melena Dunavent (Todd), and Micah Dunham; and her great-grandchildren: TJ Dunavent, Aubrey Dunavent and Fletcher Bailey.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at the Demopolis Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 1:00 pm with Ed Pickel officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes, Demopolis Chapel directing. Pallbearers are: Tim Johnson, Kerry Luker, Buddy Pickel, Todd Dunavent, Jeb Bailey, and Randy Samples. Honorary pallbearers are the members of Revival Worship Center, Amedysis Home Health, and TJ Dunavent and Fletcher Bailey.
