Obituary for Dorothy Jean Cost (Barefield)
Dorothy Jean Barefield Cost, 78, of Demopolis went to her eternal home on July 23, 2020. She was born on August 26, 1941 in Calera, AL to Grady and Lillie Pierce Barefield.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers: Johnny Barefield and Don Barefield. She is survived by her husband, William "Buddy" Cost, her daughter, Sandra Burnett; her brother, Truman Barefield; and her sisters, Francis Sheffield and Linda Stone. She is also survived by lots of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at the Demopolis Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Monday, July 27, 2020 at 11:00 am with Tyler Gresham officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes, Demopolis Chapel directing. Pallbearers are: Lee Elliott, Mike McPherson, Mark McPherson, Tony Rice, and Kevin Cone. Honorary pallbearers are Southern Care Hospice and Angela and Glendora.
