Martha Carolyn Coney Pegues, 91 of Montgomery, AL went to her eternal home on October 26, 2020. She was born on June 13, 1929 in Cotton Valley, LA to Walton Brumfield Coney and Marjorie Norman Coney. She was a loving housewife and mother.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Lee Pegues. She is survived by her sons: W. Leigh Pegues of Hampton Cove, AL, John C. Pegues of Birmingham, AL, Michael E. Pegues of Fairhope, AL, and Christopher N. Pegues of Hampton Cove, AL; her daughter Martha P. Pegues of Montgomery. AL; her sister Virginia Coney Borron of Plaquemine, LA and her brother Bill Goodwin of Mobile, AL. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 11:30 am at Marion Cemetery in Marion, AL with Dr. Mark Tew officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes, Marion Chapel directing.
In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to Judson College in Marion, AL.
