Obituary for Russell Lane Whaley
Russell Lane Whaley, 48 of Greensboro, AL went to his eternal home on December 16, 2020. He was born on March 8, 1972 in New Orleans, LA to John Cecil Whaley and Flora Ellen Monts Whaley. He worked as a seining foreman for Southern Pride Catfish.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Whaley and Mr. and Mrs. C.D. Monts. He is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Layne Whaley and her mother, Shay Fondren.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Oakwood Cemetery in Greensboro with Rev. Dee McGuire and Bro. Wade McCrary officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Greensboro Chapel directing.
Pallbearers will be: Mark Whaley, Mike Whaley, Matt Moore, Brian Seale, John Thomas, and Scott Kimbrel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Friends of Hale County Animal Shelter in Greensboro.
